Do you enjoy the thrill of the Theater? Would you like to be a part of a dynamic troupe that performs in a wide variety of professional settings?
Does learning about working with giant puppets and performing for children and adult audience interest you?

Open Hand Theater is offering an apprenticeship for six people to work with us while being trained in the theater art of puppetry. This season the program will focus on the use of giant and life size puppets. Open Hand Theater is a professional theater now in our 29th year. The theater has four program areas:
Performance
Education
Mask and puppet museum
Community

Participants will have the unique opportunity to perform in a variety of professional performances and settings.

The Apprenticeship Program is designed with four components:
1) Apprenticeship working group together for skill building
2) Individual projects with in the theater
3) Work and performance in productions
4) Viewing, meeting, and having professional contact and interactions with others in the field

This is an apprenticeship with modest performance honorariums and the opportunity of growing into a staff position in the future
