In a old brick Castle filled with elephants, fairies, and the occasional giant, Open Hand Theater is a place to have fun. Open Hand Theater provides performances and training for young theater artists. The Theater conducts annual Summer Circus Camps as well as other vacation camps. Open Hand Theater's commitment to children in upstate New York is extensive. Its collaborations with the Syracuse City School District, and the Onondaga Nation School, for example, have brought a unique opportunity to a broad range of young people. Programs: A World of Puppets Saturday morning family series at the museum *Calendar* Hand in Hand Youth Theater theater training for kids ages 10-16 Puppet Circus Camp Two week sessions held throughout July Touring Performances and Arts-in-Education Programs eight touring shows and educational programs designed for your needs Youth Puppetry Playwriting Project for students in grades 3-8 North Side Youth Theater Project after-school projects in the neighborhood Playing with Imagination Fun at Home Activities for children and parents
