For Teachers
Open Hand Theater has been a leader in arts education for over 30 years. Our productions, which can be staged in a classroom, gym or cafeteria (though an auditorium with a stage is best) are completely self-contained. We provide a study guide to complement each production.
Schools can also arrange class visits to the mask and puppet museum, our home in an 1890's castle on the north side of Syracuse. Open Hand Theater's resident artists provide a continuous resource for learning and experiencing the mask and puppet theater traditions of cultures around the world.
