Albert Einstein's life was influenced by many events and the work of many scientists throughout history. Open Hand Theater creates simple delightful scenes where each concept in Einstein's famous equation E=MC2 comes to life and each puppet scientist describes the ideas that led to their discoveries. The performance is fun, lively and thought provoking.

Brief Synopsis
Albert Einstein, a life-sized puppet, introduces himself to the audience and plays a light aire on his violin. He encounters Father Time, a giant puppet character who answers his questions about the nature of time. Albert remembers scenes of his childhood and recounts the stories of scientists whose work in the fields of energy, mathematics, mass and the speed of light led to the creation of his famous equation: E=MC2. Each symbol of Einstein's equation is built in delightful musical puppetry scenes. Albert Einstein escaped from Germany to the United States during Hitler's rise to power and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1921.
